New use for the slit punch!
I have been wanting to try the SU slit punch to make scallops now for a while but just tried it this morning. I love it! I'm sure it will be a race between my slit punch and my Cuttlebug embossing folders to see which I use more!
- Certainly Celery, Cool Caribbean, and white CS
- Tempting Turquoise ink
- Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp set (SU)
- Happy Birthday acrylic stamp from Hampton Arts
- SU slit punch
- flowers from stem: They were both white to start with but I inked up the bottom one with Cool Caribbean ink. It turned out darker so that's why I used the T.T. for the sentiment.

Happy Heart Day!!!!
I hope everyone is having a pleasant Valentine's day so far! I know my kids are pretty happy! They girls got some girly stuff in their Valentine bags this morning along with a little candy and of all things, beef sticks! Done blame me, our family is just addicted to Slim Jim's! Clinton got a weird hairy bouncy ball that Joe picked out and some yogurt covered raisins. If you have never bought them for your kids then you need to! They are a great healthy snack and all 3 of mine love them! They have different flavors too!
Anyhoo! I just wanted to wish you all well this morning! Have a great day!

Still snowing!
Actually, it's been hailing for the past 4 hours. I'm a little worried about Joe getting home okay tonight. He gets off work at 11 and the roads just keep getting worse and worse!
I got 2 more cards done and didn't actually need either of them! I have several cards to do but these just didn't end up that way! Oh well, I have till 9 tonight when House comes on. Then don't interrupt me!
I also made myself a nifty little 'created by' signature on my cards (like someone would try and use them anyway!).
This one is from a sketch challenge on ASB. I really need to start doing all of the challenges so my cards stop looking so redundant!

I am thinking of doing some blog candy. I have to get some first but it's definitely on my to do list! So keep an eye out!
I also added a counter to see how many hits my blog gets. That should be interesting to say the least!
Snow, snow, go away!
Don't come back another day!! Yuk! I am done with the snow! But it's not done with us apparently because we still have another 6 inches or so to go, plus the sleet, but we won't go there. Thank you Lord for blessing me with a nice warm home and hot chocolate to drink!
I got a wedding card done last night that I needed for this weekend. I was pretty happy with it. Not my most favorite, but I seldom make wedding cards. Then, I ruined it. Bad!
Here is the before-
And here is the after-
What happened you say? Well, I was cleaning a stamp and some 'splatter' from the cleaner got onto the card. It didn't look bad but it was only on half of the card so I figured I would splatter the other half to make it even. That's where it started to go wrong. The speckles ended up being way too much. So what do I do then? I try to calm those down by dipping my paintbrush in water and re-inker to 'paint' the paper. Bad idea!!! Well, for this card anyway. It would probably look cute on a card with a fish or something on it.
So now I have to make a new wedding card and I can't stand making the same card twice. I'll probably end up making a completely different card. But at least I walk away with a lesson, right?
I did make a quick birthday card for hubby's best friend. He is very quick witted and we get along well. I also made him a magnet for his toolbox at work.
Card-
Inside reads: but you can be immature forever!
- KI Memories paper
- DCWV cardstock
- screw eyelet
- stamp from www.rivercityrubberworks.com
Magnet-
- TAC 2006 gift with purchase stamp

Clinton's first (and possibly last) Oreo
I just had to post these pictures I took of Clinton today. I gave him is first Oreo and you would have thought I handed him the moon! He was in love!!! I now have chocolate all over my jeans and also covering the coffee table. I think the next time we do chocolate cookies they will be in the highchair!

Good Morning!
I was awakened this morning by a smack in the head and someone yelling "UP!" at me. I knew exactly who it was before I opened my eyes. My sweet, precious, darling, little pain in the hiney son, Clinton! I love him to pieces but sometimes, well sometimes I want to pull the pillow over my head and sleep in. At least till 8:00.
I did get a card done this morning though! I was on the ball. I would still be crafting now but I need to pick up the house a little because Joe and I are going to H&R Block this morning for our taxes. Unfortunately, I don't think there will be any 'fun money' this year. We have been talking about looking for a house this spring. That would be awesome and I hope we can make it happen. Anyway, here is my card.

- Lavender Lace, Old Olive, black ink

- All the Best (SU) stamp set

Decided to Simplify
I decided to simplify my blog page after not having used it for months now. I blame it on the bright pink and distracting background for not having written. Hey, think what you will but I'm going to stick with that reason!
So, now the trouble is catching up on all of the events that have happened the last few months. Let me give you a run down really quickly.
- We had a nice and blessed Christmas.
- Clinton turned one.
- My best friend had her very first baby! {Love you Heather and Hannah!}
- I bought Rhonna Farrer Flourish and Alphabet stamps! Love 'em!
- My hubby, Joe, went on a fishing trip to Florida with his dad. He had a great time and didn't want to go back to work once he came back!
- Had a sleepover with my sisters and mom while he was gone. We had a BLAST!! I'd love to make it a tradition every year!
- I GOT DAUGHTRY TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, can ya tell I'm excited about that! For those of you who might not know, Chris Daughtry was on season 5 of American Idol and did not make it to the final 3 (even though he should have) but now has a band and touring the U.S. He will be at Bogarts in Cininnati and my sister Nichole and I are going. Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!
- I got my hair done! Cut and highlighted! I love it! I have bangs now!
- I have now acquired 3 Cuttlebug embossing templates which I can't seem to get enough of!
- So far this year I have been on time for birthday cards and such. Okay, so it's only February but give me a break!

Ahh, it's been too long
Okay, so shame on me for not updating in a month! I have had *what seems like* a lot going on this past month. I was getting ready for Christmas around Sabina the first few weeks and then trying to recoup from the devistation last few weeks. And yes, I said devistation! I made around 50 glitter bulb ornaments (the ones that get such praise on Splitcoast!) and only sold 2. T-W-O! That's it! Wow, was I disapointed! I also made lots of other things that didn't sell worth poop. All in all when you take out the cost of everything I made about $20. Exciting huh? But we won't dell on the negative. As my momma always says, "Dwell on the good and lovely!" Thanks mom for ringing in my ear cause sometimes I just wanna scream. At least I have Christmas gifts done for my family! You know who you are!!! :0)
Now on to positive things! I have actually gotten some cards done that I like quite a bit! That's always a plus! Here are two that I got done today. They are just the same with a few exceptions.
- Ruby Red Cardstock (SU)
- My Mind's Eye patterned paper (LOVE it) from Everyday Tango stack
- Always Artichoke ink (SU)
- Canvas BG stamp (SU)
- 'Joy' from Small Script set (SU)
- 'Happy Holidays' stamp (oogaloo)
- pine bough from All things of Nature (TAC)
- olive grosgrain ribbon
- glitter
- pop dots
- sponge
Both are 4 1/4 X 4 1/4

Okay, so I played with these pictures for way too long now and I still can't get them the way I want. They're there and I guess that's the point, right?
I have made quite a few more cards and other things but I'll just upload my favorites.

- Bashful Blue, Ruby Red, and white CS (SU)
- Ruby Red, Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand ink pads (SU)
- Canvas BG (SU)
- Snowflakes set (TAC)
- 'Happy Holidays' stamp (oogaloo)

- sponge
I'll only put up one more card today. This was the first card I had made with the All Things of Nature set from TAC. It had been sitting there a while, un-inked. I love it though and I do plan on using it for the card sets that I make for Christmas gifts. This one was for my mom's friend who loves birds.

- Bashful Blue CS (SU)
- brown CS
- All things of Nature set (TAC)
- Wonderful Words set (SU)
- Weathered Wood BG (Sonlight Impessions from Cornish Heritage Farms)

Okay, now for my final project addition.....my Harley Davidson ornament. I actually did sell 5 out of 6 of these at CAS. Click HERE if you want the details.
Well, hopefully I will be back in a few days to update. I know all of my devoted fans hold their breath until I post again!!!!! Hmmm, okay so maybe one devoted fan. LOL You know who you are......Amy! Goodnight and God Bless!
